Busy ,busy working on Halloween and Fall items. The pumpkin is one from a Tickled Primitives pattern and really fun to make. The little witch hats(moonchilds primitives) are for an upcoming show. I showed them unfinished because a few will go to the 13 Days of Halloween swap I am enjoying. Then Lucy has found her pumpkin for Fall. Hope everyone has a good weekend. take care Kim
I have been quite busy with gardening, a few more shows , and starting Fall & Christmas. On my recent trip to Jo-Ann's I discovered this neat Folk Art book by Bethany Lowe. I don't know if it just came out or not but love the witch on the front. She is made from paperclay and pattern included. Also if anyone is looking for orange and black check homespun let me know I have about 3 yards extra for $2 a yard. The background fabric is the homespun.
I won the Rabbit Hill Primitives giveaway!! :) It is a cute little mouse pinkeep. This little guy looks adorable and will keep me good company as I sew. Wonder if I'll have to keep an eye on him and my Lucy mouse? lol
Hope everyone had a terrific Memorial weekend ! Let's not forget those who should be honored everyday!
We'll I've been busy for the last little bit getting ready for a craft show. Also helping my husband get the doll furniture ready. We had a good weekend which was nice since this was the first time we participated in this one. The theme was Log Cabin Days and there was period activities like wash tub laundry with lye soap, old fashioned toys, and spinning. It was loads of fun!!
I have been finishing a few items for an upcoming show. So here is a Lucy mouse (Soft in the Head) I did. Each of my girls "had" to have two of there own. They named them Lucy and Joe and Joe had to have blue eyes. So I am lucky to have my Lucy! lol
I also planted the garden this weekend. Can't hardly wait for fresh veggies!
It has been very busy around here. I've been working on a few items for my booth at our local shop. My husband and I made some candles, Herbert the rabbit(Sweetpeas Primitives), and a Witch Pumpkin make-do(Sassafras Hill Primitives). Also enjoying some of the Spring time eventough it was only 40 degrees today! Hope everyone had a Good weekend!!
A new primitive group is having a great giveaway. Sisterhood of All Things Primitive is having a Grand Opening and there giveaway winners will be drawn on March 29th. So travel over and check out everything.
Gen over at Ewenique Treasures is having a easterbasket challenge. The idea is to use a container other than a basket like a sandpail, enamelware etc. The pictures are due by March 6 and she will have a Mr Linky so everyone can show off their "easterbaskets"
Of course some do not want to hear our weather has been 70! So I have been busy spring cleaning outside and not getting to many projects completed. Although this stump doll(Moonchild primitives pattern) has been finished along with 3 others like her. Also finished up some mice(Soft in the Head pattern) and have a few others for a swap I am enjoying being a part of at Simple Thyme Primitives. Everyone have a terrific day!!
Well this month is flying by! I am trying to finish some projects. Last year I took a folk art quilt class with patterns by Sarah Sporrer entitled "By Wisdom a House is Built... in the Country". Indygo Junction carrys her patterns and if interested just look for her under Designers. It can be a complete quilt but I am using them as wall hangings when finished. This is the March block I still need to stain and stich to the backing fabric. I am sewing up the ones I like better for wall hangings so they are not in any order. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!
